- Millfield were approached to support Caterpillar on a new Vehicle launch.
Millfield’s approach:
- Various materials considered but pDCPD was selected for impact resistance, temperature resilience, and volume capacity.
- Millfield worked with Caterpillar Engineering teams to design, prototype, and produce successful Engineer cover sets.
- Matched aluminium tooling was produced and tooled with European partners.
- Millfield launched successfully on-time prototypes and development machines.
- Tight production deadlines were met and volume ramp ups successfully achieved.
