Millfield FRP
typically offers a complete turnkey solution, from initial conceptual
discussions with architects, specifiers or interior designers, through
to the production of working drawings, subsequent manufacture and
installation on site.
The
photographs on this page show a selection of prestigious contracts with
major construction companies, which demonstrate the use of GRP
externally, and GRG internally, by the Millfield Group.

GRP (glass reinforced
plastic) is an ideal material with a diverse range of applications due
to its lightweight, non-corrosive, fire-retardant and vandal-resistant
properties. Millfield uses GRP in architectural applications including
cladding panels, fascias, cornices, columns, dormers and specialist
structural features. GRP can be formulated to Class '1' spread of flame
to Part 7 of BS476 1971, and Class '0' propagation to Part 6 of BS476
1968 where required. |
| • |
GRG (glass reinforced
gypsum) achieves Class '0', and is further capable of achieving 'Non
Combustible' classification to Part 4 of BS476 1970. Millfield has many
years of expertise in the production of high modulus GRG. |
|
Both materials lend themselves to the authentic simulation of
traditional building material finishes, and Millfield's reputation is
legendary in the restoration and refurbishment market.
